Prime Training: Customized Sports Training

Fiver Prime is Performance Training Built on Scientific Data
At Fiver Sports in Romeo, MI, we specialize in helping athletes bridge the gap between the weight room and the field.
Our unique, data-driven sports performance training is centered around developing a deep understanding of how each individual athlete produces force and velocity. This insight allows us to create custom athlete training programs tailored to unlock their full athletic potential.
Whether you're a high school athlete, college athlete, or an aspiring elite performer, Prime Training at Fiver Prime is designed to help you compete at the highest level.
Force-Velocity Profiling
We begin with a comprehensive Force-Velocity Profile (FVP). This assessment measures an athlete’s ability to produce force across a range of speeds. By analyzing this relationship, we can identify whether an athlete is force-dominant, velocity-dominant, or balanced.
For example, an athlete who produces a lot of force but lacks speed may benefit from high-velocity training, while an athlete who moves fast but lacks power may need to focus on force development.
The FVP gives us a snapshot of where the athlete is on the spectrum and guides our programming to improve sport-specific performance.
Whether you're a high school athlete, college athlete, or an aspiring elite performer, Prime Training at Fiver Sports is designed to help you compete at the highest level.

Passive and Active Range of Motion Assessment
Next, we assess passive and active range of motion (ROM) to identify any mobility restrictions, asymmetries, or compensations that could limit performance or increase the risk of injury.
-
Passive ROM looks at how far a joint can move without muscular engagement.
-
Active ROM assesses the athlete's ability to control movement through a range.
This step ensures our sports training programs are not only effective but also safe and sustainable—especially for athletes in Macomb County competing in football, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, and more.
Load-Velocity Profiling Using a Sled
We use sled pushes at varying loads to build a load-velocity profile. This test gives us real-time insight into how an athlete produces horizontal force during sprint-specific movements.
By tracking the decline in velocity as load increases, we can determine the athlete’s mechanical effectiveness and identify whether they need to focus more on power at low, medium, or high loads.
Narrowing the focus is particularly valuable for field and court sport athletes who rely on quick acceleration and deceleration.
Customized Program Design
Finally, all of this data—force-velocity profile, ROM assessments, and sled-based load-velocity data—feeds into a customized sports performance training plan tailored to the athlete's sport, position, and current physical needs.
Whether the goal is to get faster, become more explosive, or build strength without sacrificing speed, every component of the program is based on real metrics, not guesswork.
Free Performance Assessment
At Fiver Sports, we don’t guess. We assess.
And from there, we help athletes train with precision and purpose—so they can perform with confidence.
